Welcome to “Business Story of the Week,” where we dive deep into the personal journeys that shape entrepreneurs, hosted by Joshua Lori. 🌟 Today’s guest, Kimberly Spencer, brings a powerful message about the stories we tell ourselves—are they holding us back or pushing us forward? As a high-performance coach, entrepreneur, and TEDx speaker, Kimberly has turned her personal struggles into fuel for inspiring others. 🙌

The Two Sides of Kimberly

Kimberly’s story begins with a fascinating childhood. At four years old, she was bold, creative, and full of energy, running through sprinklers and making up stories. But behind that playful exterior, Kimberly faced trauma. Her father struggled with addiction, casting a shadow over her childhood. This combination of creativity and hardship shaped who she would become. ✨

Despite her early entrepreneurial spirit—selling glitter water to neighbors! 💧✨—Kimberly had to navigate complex emotions and relationships. Her father’s addiction impacted her deeply, silencing her voice for years. As she grew up, selective mutism took hold, and she didn’t speak in kindergarten for six months. It took a courageous best friend asking her to play to pull her out of that shell.

Overcoming Trauma & Rediscovering Herself

But the road to rediscovery wasn’t easy. Kimberly had to reclaim her voice, her confidence, and most importantly, her trust in herself. This journey wasn’t just about finding success in business but about healing her inner child. The tattoo on her arm that says “Just Run Through It” encapsulates her mantra for life. 🏃‍♀️💨 And run through it she did!

Coaching Others to Success

Now, as a high-performance coach, Kimberly helps clients overcome their own stories of self-doubt. She believes that the key to success lies in “radical ownership”—the ability to take full responsibility for both the good and the bad in life and business. 🙌

Kimberly’s coaching method helps people unlock their subconscious success strategies, allowing them to achieve what seemed impossible. Her clients go from stagnant to thriving, smashing through one-year goals in just three months! 🚀 Her approach isn’t about telling you what to do but guiding you to find your own path.

The Drama Triangle Flip

One of the most powerful lessons Kimberly teaches is the importance of flipping the “Drama Triangle.” In this triangle, people often fall into the roles of victim, villain, or hero, keeping them stuck in toxic patterns. But by turning these roles around—victims become creators, villains become challengers, and heroes become coaches—you can completely change your life. 💪

For Kimberly, this transformation happened not only in her business life but also with her father. After setting firm boundaries, her father stayed sober for the last four years of his life, allowing them to have a meaningful relationship before his passing. This was one of her greatest personal achievements, and it came from flipping her role from hero to coach in that relationship.

Your Story is Your Power

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a business leader, or someone trying to navigate life’s complexities, Kimberly’s message is clear: the stories you tell yourself matter. They shape your reality. By taking radical ownership of your narrative, you have the power to rewrite your story for success. 💫
