Welcome to Tea with Natalie! This week, let’s dig into something we all grapple with at times—our worth. Grab your tea, find a cozy spot, and join me on a journey through my own experiences with self-doubt and the stories we tell ourselves that diminish our accomplishments. ☕💭
Finding My Value Amid Self-Doubt
I’ve always worked hard and achieved things that I’m proud of, yet I found myself dismissing my own worth in sneaky ways. For example, when I won University Honors in college, a prestigious award, I soon started believing that I’d received it because people felt sorry for me as a refugee. Even with all the evidence of my dedication and intelligence, I couldn’t shake the story I’d crafted in my head.
We all create stories like these, stories that dim our light. We convince ourselves that our achievements aren’t genuine or that they’re undeserved. Sound familiar? 💭💡

Shifting the Narrative: From Limiting to Liberating
Let’s be real—self-doubt isn’t easily shrugged off. It’s woven into our thoughts. But we can start by asking a powerful question: “What if the opposite were true?” What if, instead of feeling undeserving, we recognized the hard work and intelligence that got us there? For me, reframing my stories allowed me to genuinely acknowledge my worth and gifts.
To all of you reading this, reflect on the stories you’ve told yourself. How have you minimized your accomplishments? How would it feel to turn those stories around? 🌱✨
Embracing Your Unique Gifts 💖
Here’s my invitation to you: Celebrate your worth. Embrace the hard work, talents, and unique gifts that make you who you are. Every one of us has gifts to share, and by acknowledging them, we start to embody our true potential. Imagine the person you’d become if you stopped letting these limiting beliefs hold you back.
Take this reflection with you into your day, your week, your year. Let it stir something powerful inside you. And remember, we’re on this journey together, growing one cup of tea at a time. 🍵💫
