🌍 Exploring Kenya’s National Parks: A Personal and Transformative Journey

When passion and purpose meet, magic happens. That was certainly the case for my three-year-long wildlife photography project in Kenya, which blossomed into an emotional and visual masterpiece despite the unexpected twists and turns of the global pandemic.

📸 The Start of Something New: Fieldwork Across Kenya

It all began with fieldwork in ten different national parks and surrounding communities, where I immersed myself in the captivating intersection of humans, wildlife, and nature. What started as a singular journey quickly expanded as the pandemic stretched into years, giving me the chance to revisit and deepen my connection with Kenya’s breathtaking landscapes.

Each visit revealed a different side of the parks—empty, serene, and devoid of the usual bustling tourists. Places like the Maasai Mara, typically filled with travelers from across the globe, became peaceful havens where I could capture raw, unspoiled beauty.

🖤 Black and White: Capturing Emotional Depth

Armed with a digital camera, I set out to create a collection that was entirely black and white—a visual decision to express the deep emotional connection I felt with the land. The lack of tourists during my first year in Kenya allowed me to experience these landscapes in their most untouched form, almost like stepping back in time.

This solitude, coupled with the surreal feeling of being the only person in these vast terrains, inspired my fine art print collection. The process wasn’t without its challenges; navigating Kenya’s bureaucratic hurdles to enter the country was no easy feat. But each obstacle only fueled my commitment to the project.

🌟 Launching the Collection

In 2022, I officially launched the collection as a series of fine art prints. Each print was a labor of love, sold directly through my website, with a portion of the proceeds donated to conservation charities. To me, giving back is non-negotiable—when nature is your muse and your livelihood, you owe it the utmost respect.

Through this project, I was able to contribute 10% of the profits to organizations that helped make this dream a reality. This initiative became more than just a collection—it turned into a way to support the communities and wildlife that shaped my journey.
