⏱️ It seems like every day we wake up in a new reality, or is it post-reality? We’re constantly bombarded with “word salads,” and at times, we can’t even define basic biology anymore. 🤯 But how did we get here, and what does it mean for the future—especially for women’s athletics and our society?
In a world where public discourse feels like a game of who-can-shout-the-loudest, it’s easy to feel lost. Moderates like you and me, who value rational debate, often find ourselves caught in the middle, questioning where it all went wrong. But we can’t just retreat into silence, even though it seems like the loudest voices from the extreme left or right are holding the microphone. 🗣️
💡 As Jen Sey, a former elite gymnast and top marketing executive, explains in our recent podcast episode, standing up for truth isn’t easy. Jen has been on both sides—first as a national gymnast, then as a top exec at Levi’s. She fought hard to protect children during the pandemic, advocating for open schools in San Francisco. But her outspokenness led to backlash and eventually a career shift as she stood firm in her beliefs about free speech, women’s rights, and the dangers of cancel culture.

🎙️ “I couldn’t give up my voice,” Jen shares, explaining why she couldn’t return to Corporate America and instead decided to start her own brand, XXXY Athletics. This brand is more than just apparel—it’s a stand for the truth, for women’s sports, and for rationality in a world that sometimes feels like it’s gone mad.
But it’s not just about the culture war—it’s about winning hearts and minds. By standing up for what’s right, we are helping to shift the conversation. 🙌
The Polarization Problem 🛑
We can’t ignore the growing polarization in the country. Extreme voices on both sides dominate the conversation, leaving moderates feeling alienated. As Jen points out, those in the middle often retreat in silence, afraid to speak out due to fear of being called names. And trust me, those names come quickly—racist, QAnon, alt-right—just for questioning certain narratives. 😳
But here’s the truth: We need to reclaim the microphone! 🗣️
Jen’s brand is doing just that—standing up for the protection of women’s spaces and sports. In the U.S., polls show that 70% of Americans agree with this stance, but it doesn’t feel like we’re the majority. Why? Because the majority has been silenced. 😔
It’s time to stop retreating into our private conversations and start speaking up for the truth. 💪
A Hopeful Future 🌅
As more people wake up to the reality of what’s happening, we will see more voices like Jen’s rising to the forefront. And remember: It’s never too late to stand up for what’s right, for ourselves, and for future generations. If we’re loud enough, we just might take the microphone back! 🎤
