A Curious Kid with Big Dreams

From a young age, curiosity was my compass. I didn’t grow up with an artistic background, but there was always a spark inside me—a pull toward creativity. Photography became a quiet passion that I pursued on the side. At the time, it didn’t seem like a feasible career path, just a hobby to keep me grounded as I navigated life. Fast forward 25 years of clicking shutters, and here I am—a photographer who turned a side hustle into a life-changing pursuit. 🎥✨

Caught in the Corporate Web

Like many, I followed the “safe” route—university, corporate jobs, and the grind of commercial life. While my camera was always with me, it wasn’t my focus. Working in the corporate world demanded all my energy, and my creative spark dimmed under the pressure of never-ending growth targets and endless expectations.

By 2018, burnout hit me like a freight train. Running two lives—one as a corporate professional and the other as a budding photographer—was unsustainable. Every spare moment outside the office was spent building my portfolio, shooting in breathtaking locations like Patagonia and the Himalayas. 🌄 Yet, I felt empty, like something was missing.

The Wake-Up Call

When my body and mind screamed, “Enough!” I had no choice but to listen. Exhaustion forced me to rethink everything. It wasn’t an overnight epiphany but a gradual process over three years. By 2018, the pieces fell into place: no kids, a bit of freedom, and a desire to create something meaningful. It was now or never.

The Transition

Taking the leap was terrifying. I left a stable career, steady income, and a comfortable life for the unknown. But with each step forward, the weight lifted. The exhaustion faded, replaced by a newfound sense of purpose.

Reclaiming Freedom and Human Connection

Now, my work revolves around human stories and the beauty of nature. I’ve discovered that photography is more than capturing images; it’s about connecting deeply with people and places. That human connection, which I missed in my corporate life, fuels me today. 💞

A Business Built on Passion

Today, my business model reflects my values. About 90% of my work is personal projects, and I intentionally maintain creative freedom. I could chase more client work, but I choose to focus on ideas and stories that align with my purpose. Monetizing passion rather than chasing profit keeps my work fulfilling and authentic.

If you’re contemplating a big leap, know that it’s okay to start small. Transitions take time, but every step toward your true calling is worth it. 🌟
